Welcome to Dublin North

Dublin North is a fascinating constituency for the General Election 2007. Only one of the sitting TDs, Trevor Sargent (who topped the poll last time out), is standing again.

FF's Jim Glennon surprised many by announcing he was not goin to stand again this time around. However there had been rumblings that Bertie had left some loyal servants languishing too long on the back benches.

Here are the odds as of today from Paddy Power:

Trevor Sargent (Green) 1 - 50
Michael Kennedy (FF) 4 - 9
Brendan Ryan (Lab) 1 - 2
Clare Daly (Soc) 4 - 6
John O'Leary (FF) 4 - 6
James O'Reilly (FG) 11 - 10
Darragh O'Brien (FF) 2 – 1
Tom Morrissey (PD) 10 - 3
Joe Corr (Green) 7 - 1
Matt McCormack (SF) 12 - 1

I have the princely sum of three euro on Joe Corr. I'm not much of a gambler, but its interesting to know the odds as the bookies are not in the habit of being wrong too often. On these odds Corr has a lot to do but his odds have narrowed slightly from the 8 - 1 I got on him on January 23rd.

(Oops I forgot to include people's favourite Claire Daly :( )

3 : what do you think?:

Ahh my mistake :) Thanks. I think that was a copy and paste error now ammended.

Clare Daly (Soc) 4 - 6

(Though my taxi-driver-poll has her topping the vote)

1-50 odds on & fav. TV is not an exciting bet. 5 bets are odds on, 1 evens & 4 odds against. Clare Daly is working hard on the ground year on year, she should do well. 4-6 on, but I don't bet.
