Irish Town Optimization

Google is not overly impressed but if I was an Irish Town Planner I would be more worried about the lawyers of the Irish Times, Irish Examiner etc. In not a copyright expert (nor an SEO expert) but it appears like fairly widespread copyright infringement making up the bulk of the content on this site. There isn't any commentary on some of these blog entries, they are just verbatim reproductions of stories from the press. Even a tiny commentary might entitle the author to invoke the fair-use clause of copyright.The author does try to invoke some educational aspect of the material:

Students of planning will find parts of this site especially useful as course notes

Ultimately the presence of Google ads, and offers of consultancy in planning matters, make any fair use defence very weak and it looks like a very very iffy SEO strategy. Media companies generally don't take kindly to people making money-for-nothing from their content

Like I say I'm no expert but would you trust this guy to plan a town?
